BELOW are a couple of 'fly-by' animations of the proposed building extension. This is only indicative at the moment, and should not necessarily be deemed a final arrangement.
The top 3D sketch is of the building as we know it now, and then with the new build section included. It is not to scale, and the features, and architectural elements are not accurate. However, it does give an idea of the way the new build may appear in the context of the current structure.
The bottom animation is an 'x-ray' showing just the changing rooms and the new build section - with indicative fixtures and fittings. The layout and arrangement of the rooms and fittings are not finalised yet, but this gives an idea of how it might appear.
You can either simply watch the movies, or you can 'scrub' the time line control back and forth to see the various views in the order you prefer.
The section of the drawing shown in RED, is the new-build section.
PLEASE NOTE: The new building is NOT made of glass. I have made the sketch in X-Ray mode, so all the fixtures and fittings are easier to see, 'through' the walls.
Brill sports pavilion has undergone a number of extension and improvement programmes over the years. This picture shows the building in the '50s, with a typically enthusiastic crowd of spectators.
I don't have any pictures of the development between the 50's and the pavilion as it was before the latest extension, if anyone has any in their scrapbooks, I'd really like to see how the building changed over the years. The latest extension provided much-needed improvements in the social facilities and bar space, along with a terrific deck outside.
It is now crucial that we bring the changing rooms up to a reasonable standard to match the rest of the club facilities.
MORE pictures of the club inside and out, during the improvements and before, are available in the Photo Album. PLEASE feel free to submit more pictures for the album - share your memories, the more the merrier.
